Free DMARC Checker
Check any domain's DMARC record and policy in one click.
This DMARC checker looks up your domain's _dmarc record, confirms it's valid, and explains your policy (p=none, quarantine or reject) in plain English — alongside your SPF, DKIM and mail-server setup for the full picture.
DMARC tells receiving servers what to do with email that fails authentication. A policy of p=none only monitors; p=quarantine sends spoofed mail to spam; p=reject blocks it outright. Since February 2024, Google and Yahoo require a valid DMARC record for anyone sending bulk email — without one, your messages may be rejected and your domain can be spoofed.
Agencies and MSPs: the paid plan monitors DMARC across all your clients' domains and alerts you the moment a record changes or a policy weakens.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a good DMARC policy?
- Aim for p=reject, which blocks spoofed mail entirely. Start at p=none to gather reports, move to p=quarantine, then p=reject once you've confirmed legitimate mail passes.
- Do I need DMARC for Gmail and Yahoo?
- Yes. Since 2024 both require bulk senders to publish a valid DMARC record. Missing DMARC can cause your email to be rejected or filtered to spam.
- How do I fix a missing DMARC record?
- Add a TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com starting with v=DMARC1; p=none; and a rua= reporting address, then tighten the policy over time. Your DNS or email provider can host it.
